Mother's Day
I did not get to post this yesterday, but I wanted express how much I love my mama! I am so grateful for all of the sacrifices she has made for me. She is an outstanding woman and a fantastic mother who handled her six kids like a champion! I am so grateful for her example and guidance in my life. I love you, Mama!

learning new things
So, I thought it would be fun to learn how to take and edit photos. Not professionally in any way but just to make pictures look better. I do not have a fancy shmancy camera nor do I have the expensive photoshop technology. I have just been playing around on this free editing site with pictures I have already taken (of course they are majority of my favorite my favorite kiddies). It is kinda cool. Tell me what you think, I will take any kind of critique!

The Kissing Sailor
Everyone has seen the iconic picture of the couple kissing in Times Square after World War II was over. I read an article today saying they have figured out who the people in the couple are. Over the years many people have come forward claiming to be the couple but the real couple has been identified! They have found out that the couple in the photo were not even a couple at the time! The sailor, George Mendonsa, was so excited the war was over he just grabbed the first nurse he saw and started kissing her! The funny thing is Mendonsa's girlfriend at the time and the woman he went on to marry is in the background of the picture! If you look closely she is the head peeking out from behind the sailor's right (our left) shoulder. The woman being kissed, Greta Zimmer Friedman, said "It wasn't my choice to be kissed, the guy just came over and grabbed!" Beautiful Sundays
Spring weather makes me the happiest girl in the world. Yesterday I had the most perfect Sunday afternoon. I got to spend a few hours driving around the gardens at Thanksgiving point. The flowers and landscaping there are absolutely breathtaking. They just had a tulip festival there and the tulips were fabulous! I love being able to look at and spend time in beautiful scenery. I am so thankful for this beautiful earth!
Things I've Been Up To
So, ever since school started my blog posting has been non-existent. Now that school is done, I have all the time in the world! I am hoping I can keep up on my blog to tell about any fun adventures I will be going on this summer. I am going to give you a brief (or not so brief) recap of some of the things I have done during the school year and since the Ragnar race last June. Here we go!
After Ragnar in June, I got to take a trip home in July. It was so fun because the entire family got to come home! That's right all six Adams kids (including Whitney's plus one) were home at the same time. We went a lot of fun places including a trip up to New York City. NYC is always a fun time. We pretty much just walked around the whole day visiting tons of different places.
After my trip home, my little brother Jess flew back to Utah with me so he could attend the BYU Cross Country Camp. It was so fun to experience his first trip to Utah with him. While he was not at camp we tried to do a lot of fun activities. One night, Christopher and I took Jess and Whitney up to one of the canyon's to have a fire and roast some hot dogs.
Towards the end of the summer, Christopher and I made another hike up Mt. Timpanogas aka a beautiful hike. It was a lot of fun but quickly turned into a huge catastrophe. We hiked all the way to this huge glacier and to make a really long story short Christopher sledded down the glacier, it was too dangerous for me to so I tried to find a different way down, I got stuck on a bunch of loose rocks, Christopher had to hike back up the (the almost vertical) glacier (took almost two hours) to get me, it started to rain, we hiked all the way down in the dark, and we saw a moose. Needless to say it was the scariest moment of my life. But it was a good memory.
Finally school started and it was my junior year at BYU. I've made a final decision to major in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. I am super excited about my major. I love what I am learning and I love learning new things everyday! With school starting that also means it was time for some Cougar Football! It was BYU's first year as an independent team. Christopher and I got our all-sports passes together so we attended many of the home games. It was weird to have him in the stands with me this year instead of watching him cheer down on the field. I also did a race called the Dirty Dash with some friends and family. Basically, it is a race/obstacle course in mud. Yupp, got pretty dirty.
October was a great month me for. Reasons being 1. My mom and my brother Griffin came our for a visit! It was so fun to have them here for a little while. My mom also got tickets for all of us to go to General Conference which is always amazing. 2. I turned 21! On my birthday I had an intramural soccer game, went to dinner with Christopher, Whitney, and some of my closest friends to Olive Garden, and then Christopher to me to the haunted house called Nightmare on 13th. It was pretty scary. That weekend I traveled down to St. George, UT to camp with Christopher and his family. It was SO much fun. I just love southern Utah. We hiked around and saw tons of interesting historical church sites.
This past Thanksgiving was a completely new experience for me. I traveled up to Great Falls, Montana with Christopher and his parents to stay at his grandparents' house. Before going there I thought I have seen country living before, but really live in the country. I loved every second of it. It was so awesome to just be so removed from the world away from cars, lights, sounds, etc. I got to use a chain saw for the first time and helped cut up some fire wood. I also rode a horse for the first time which was the best. I also gained a million pounds due to the fabulous home cooked country meals I had everyday for every meal.
Next came Christmas! As usual I got to pay a visit home for two after the semester ended.I forgot my camera on the trip so the only pictures I have from my visit home are on Facebook but I got to go see the lights at Temple Square the night before I left which is always a treat!
In February, I took a little road trip up to Rexburg, Idaho with my friend Kaitlin so we could go to our friend Amanda's bachelorette party. It was a BLAST ( as most bachelorette parties are). I know them both from my home stake in PA. I am so happy for my friend Amanda! She just got married a few weeks ago and although I was not at the wedding I did see her pictures and she made a beautiful bride. (Amanda is the one in the middle)
March brought St. Patty's Day! St. Patrick's day is not as celebrated as it is back home in PA but I did go to a parade in SLC with Christopher and his family. Below is a picture of Christoper's two little nephews on St. Patty's day.
Recently was Easter! Once again I got to go camping, and I never get sick of it! I got to go to the Crystal Hot Springs in northern Utah. It was the best way to spend Easter. Camping allows plenty of time to relax and I was able to really reflect on the true meaning of Easter. The weekend before Easter I got to attend a session of General Conference with Christopher, my sister Whitney, and her husband Griffin. Also in April, i got to go celebrate Whitney's 26th brithday! I love my older sister!!
Hope you didn't get to bored reading all of that! But right now I am just working full time on campus, training for Ragnar again, and enjoying the warm weather!

Ragnar 2011
hey guys! so this past weekend the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay Race that i've been training for! Although it was way hard it was so fun! I was on a team with some of Christopher's family and friends and was in Van 2 with his mom, his mom's friend Judy, his brother-in-law Ben, his cousin's husband John, and John's brother Dan. Our Team name was Dy'in To Run! There were over 1100 teams entered in the race and 823 teams in our co-ed category. Our team finished 108th overall in 28 hours 58 minutes and 43 seconds!
I was Leg 7 (which is one of the easier legs out of them all) and here are the maps of the legs i had to run! I finished Leg 1 in 32 minutes, Leg 2 in 40 minutes and Leg 3 in 36 minutes.
