December 1st, 2010

HAPPY DECEMBER! ahh what a great month :) so as of today i can:
1. start wearing my Christmas bracelet
2. Start counting down the 25 days of Christmas
3. Count down til I go home to see my family! which is 16 days by the way!

But I just love the Holiday season! I love Christmas music more than you know! I love how cheery everyone is! And most of all I love the reason why we celebrate Christmas...the birth of Jesus Christ!

Thanksgiving break was fantastic! I spent majority of it with Christopher and his family. We watched the parade, lots of football, and ate a delicious meal on Thanksgiving Day. I ate probably more than I should have, but don't we all? Then Friday Chris and I tried to do some homework, but then went to the mall with his parents. After that Me, Chris, his parents, his sister and her family, and Whitney and Griffin (my brother, not her husband) went cosmic bowling which was really fun! Then Saturday was the RIVALRY GAME! It was BYU vs. UTAH! ugh... I am quite depressed about it! Utah won by one point! They got so lucky it is not even funny! Anywho, after that Chris and I went to Whitney's apartment and had yet another Thanksgiving feast. Here is all who was there: Me, Chris, Griffin (Adams), Whitney, Griffin (Weaver), and Griffin's brother Kellen. All the food Whit cooked reminded me of home because the food is exactly what my Mom would cook! It was yummy and yet again, rather filling. Sunday was church and time for leftovers! Once again ate a full meal when I should not have haha! I watched the Family Stone with Chris's family and it was a way good movie. So I forgot to mention it snowed like all of break and on Sunday, it literally snowed from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. I love the Snow! So Chris and I went sledding Sunday night, that was fun. I am so thankful for the Welcker's for letting me spend time with them! Overall, it was a very enjoyable break :)

But, today I was having a pretty stressful day so I figured I would take a break and write a new post :) So, why has my day been crazy? Well, the end of the semester is fast approaching and it is cram time! Last minute papers and assignment are all due this week and next, then its time to study for finals! GAHH! For instance my load this week includes 2 papers, a presentation, and a test....ALL DUE FRIDAY! please pray for me :) next week isn't as bad thank goodness...so I'm just hoping I survive this week!

So, 16 days until I get to visit home! Griffin and I will fly home on the 17th! I am very excited to see my family! I am also very excited to see everyone from church too! Especially Amie and her family along with Cindy and hers! I was talking to Amie the other day and she made me miss her little girl so bad! She showed me a song called "Gracie" by Ben Folds and it reminded me of her Gracie so much! Not only because the title of the song is in fact her name but the song is about a little girl just like Grace! I posted the song too and I think anyone who knows Grace will enjoy this song :) ---> click here to hear the song :)

November 16th, 2010

hey guys! so its been two months since my last post.... SORRY! im so bad at this. But i'll fill you in :)

School: School is going just fine! To be honest, i cannot wait until this semester is over! i am sick of doing general classes. Next semester i am treating myself by doing some fun classes, like soccer! It should be way fun.

Work: Work is going great! I love my job. I work in the customer service department at BYU Independent Study. I work 20 hours a week which is very do-able. I just answer phone calls helping students who are enrolled in the Independent Study program.

Church: I received a calling in my student ward at BYU. I am on the Sabbath Day Worship Committee. I am co-incharge of Ward Prayer on Sunday and break the fast dinner on Fast Sundays.

Life In General: Where to begin! Life has been so crazy lately! hmm... well Griffin and i have gone to every home game and its so fun! We love our Cougar football! And Chris cheers for BYU so its fun to watch him cheer at the games.

- I had a birthday and it was so much fun! my friends are so great and made the day so awesome. I got two pairs of Toms (shoes). We also had a party for me and my friend Braden's band came and played at it!

- Halloween was really fun! i was a pirate :) my friends and i went to some Halloween parties that were seriously so fun...we had a blast.
- Christopher and I have done a lot of cool stuff lately too. On Halloween we went to his friend's Halloween party, it was really fun. The latest thing we've done is Shooting! We took some shotguns out to the middle of nowhere and were target shooting at clay pigeons. It was so much fun! Until Christopher's gun recoiled more than he anticipated and ended up having to get ten stitches in his forehead :( he's doing much better though thank goodness! We also went to a wedding reception Saturday might...well made it for the last five minutes because we were at the hospital lol. We went out to eat at this restaurant called the Mayan. It was Spanish food and listen to this...the restaurant puts on a little show..which includes cliff jumpers in the middle of the restaurant! It was so cool!
-Also, Chris has been teaching me how to do some Cheer stunts! its so much fun and right up my alley! i am picking it up real fast! and we enjoy that hobby together:)
