Ragnar 2011

hey guys! so this past weekend the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay Race that i've been training for! Although it was way hard it was so fun! I was on a team with some of Christopher's family and friends and was in Van 2 with his mom, his mom's friend Judy, his brother-in-law Ben, his cousin's husband John, and John's brother Dan. Our Team name was Dy'in To Run! There were over 1100 teams entered in the race and 823 teams in our co-ed category. Our team finished 108th overall in 28 hours 58 minutes and 43 seconds!

I was Leg 7 (which is one of the easier legs out of them all) and here are the maps of the legs i had to run! I finished Leg 1 in 32 minutes, Leg 2 in 40 minutes and Leg 3 in 36 minutes.

Busy as a Bee!

Yes i do realize it has been almost a month since i last wrote! Gahh! i was doing so good too. oh well! I have been very busy! So like i said in my last blog i've been working full time. I have gotten used to the full day of work but for some reason i have not been able to get used to waking up at 6. For those of you who know me very well, you know that i love my sleep. So, waking up that early is not my cup of tea BUT it really is not that bad once i get to work.
 Also i had mentioned that i was moving to a new apartment! Well, even though the move took awhile i am so happy to be in my new apartment!! I think i like it better than living that house. My friend Blair and i have decorated it some to make it even cuter. It is also nice because the apartment complex has a pool! i am looking forward to using it when its warm, and STAYS WARM!
Some more exciting news, if you haven't heard already, is that my little brother Griffin got his mission call! Starting in October he will be serving a mission for two years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the San Paulo North, Brazil Mission! He will be speaking Portuguese! I could not be happier for my little bro! I love him so much!
In my last post i had mentioned that i was playing in a recreational soccer league. I am playing in the Sandy Rec league with Christopher's family and it is so much fun! It takes me back to my younger years. It is the most fun! Christopher used to play with us but he is currently selling alarm systems in Manhattan, New York. I miss him so much! I am certainly ready for him to come home!
I am so happy today because Blair (my roommate) and i went to the Provo Temple yesterday! We are so blessed to have a Temple only 5 minutes away from where we live! I love it!

School's Out For The Summer!

hey everyone! sorry it has been a little while but things have been super busy! Finals sneaked up on me quickly but now i am finally done! Could not be more relieved. So yes it is now summer on my terms, even though the weather does not want to agree with me.  I am now working full time at my job on campous at BYU Independent Study.  I work Monday through Friday from 7-4. Its a long day but it will be worth the money in the end! I am also moving to a new apartment! Today after work, i will be moving out of my current house into a new, cute little apartment with some friends. I am so excited, it will be so much fun! (The living with friends part, not the moving part) I am also keeping busy with Ragnar training and the Recreational Soccer league im in! So fun.  hmmm...I can't think of anything else right now! Other than the new website i am obsessed with... Pinterest.com   ...  check it out. Gives you ideas and tutorials on crafts, recipes, style, hair, etc! love it.
oh and Easter! i went to Christopher's house for Easter weekend and also visited Whitney and Griffin. It was such a good weekend and i love the reason we all celebrate Easter! I am so grateful for the Savior and his sacrifice for me!

FESTIVAL OF COLORS!

Over the weekend, my friends and I went to whats called the Festival of Colors! It was so much fun. What it basically is, is a celebration of Hare Krishna, a Hindu holiday.  There is a temple of theirs in Spanish Fork, UT and everyone gathers there (Hindu or not, obviously)  to celebrate.  They sell bags of colored chalk in which you throw in the air or at eachother! It is a celebration of colors, peace, and the coming of spring! take a look at the pictures :)

LAS VEGAS! (again)

so i went to Vegas... again!! My friends Londyn, Blair and I wanted to get away for the weekend because school and work have been so stressful! So we decided to go to Vegas. It was also Londyn's birthday so we wanted to celebrate!  We stayed with Chris's sister Amy, who lives in Henderson, NV.  We arrived friday night and went to walk the strip for a little bit. Saturday we walked around all day and did tons of cool things like the roller coaster at NY, NY,  saw the lions at MGM, M&M factory, Wax museum, went shopping at some awesome stores (and when i say shopping i mean we went and looked at all of the expensive things lol), and so much more.  We had the most fun! here are only a few of the pics we took! there are more on facebook :)

sorry its been awhile! things have been so crazy lately with school! Not to many exciting things have happened lately sadly.  The only exciting thing i could think of are the basketball games.  BYU's basketball team has been doing so awesome and we are now in march madness! the last home game the student section did a flashmob...it was so cool. also i attached my bracket :) go cougs! MY BRACKET!

On Tuesday, March 1st, Chris and I went to the SLC REAL Soccer Team's season opener in Sandy with his parents! It was cool, I  have never been to a soccer game like that before. The crowd was way fun and it was nice to watch some good soccer. Yesterday, March 2nd, was the second to last BYU Basketball game. Me, my friend Londyn, and Griffin and his friends all sat together. The Cougars lost and it was a rough game but i think we are camping out for the game Saturday...maybe haha. should be fun!

VEGAS!

okay so this past weekend was presidents day weekend which also means it was a four day weekend! chris and i wanted to get out of provo so we took a road trip to cedar city and las vegas! it was a blast. friday afternoon we drove down to cedar city to his sister's house and made it for the last little bit of his niece's third birthday party. The rest of his family came down friday as well. Saturday we all went to this indoor water park which was actually really fun. Saturday night christopher and i headed down to vegas and let me tell you it was so cool! vegas is like no other city i've been in. We arrived at his older sister's house and then went to the strip. its amazing! sunday we also went to the strip and just saw all of the famous sites including new york, new york, the bellagio, ceasar's palace, etc. All in all it was a very fun weekend :)

these past couple of weeks have been so fun. last weekend there was alot that went on. christopher's birthday was last friday so me and him went to olive garden to celebrate...but then he has to go work at a stunting clinich for the cheer squad. Saturday was the rivalry basketball game against utah! it was so fun, especially since everyone has been obsessing over our star player jimmer fredette. i went with my friends alison, hillary, and callie, and griffin and some of his friends came too. griffin got to be a part of the half time show and won a brand new ipod. he was pretty excited. it was so much fun and of course the cougars won. sunday christopher and i went up to his parents house to actually celebrate his birthday. we got there early so while we were waiting, since it was a nice day outside, we went for a motorcycle ride. so fun. then we celebrated with dinner, cake, and gifts which was alot of fun.  Then this past week got pretty busy because there were alot of midterms.  but there was also valentines day. christopher planned a very enjoyable evening for the two of us which was so sweet and very fun :)
